The music for this album came as a musical appreciation for my two major music schools - rock ’n’ roll and jazz. Rock planted my music seed and I picked up the guitar because of it. Jazz for me is a never ending journey of self exploration, it’s a universe itself. So making this album naturally became an exercise in musical honesty. The line up consists of some of my favourite musicians and friends - the only way to do it.

Pavel Terziyski and Alexander Logozarov are long time contributors to the alternative, electronic, jazz and improvised scene in their home Sofia, Bulgaria. Both raised in the suburbs of post-communism Sofia, they found out they share similar musical upbringing, which made writing and producing together very intuitive process. "Settlers' is their debut collaborative album.

The band is inspired by The Great American Songbook.The interpretation is following the vocal tradition in jazz, creating a bridge to a new, modern sound.
